Thanksgiving Break

I'll do separate posts about our week long break. It was a whirlwind trip to try and fit into it all we did, but it was worth every minute!

Here are just a few scenic pictures of our drive from WA down to southern CA.
Destination: Disneyland.

The drive down was beautiful and uneventful. We left after the kids were out of school and our niece Kayla arrived the Thursday before Thanksgiving. We drove as far as Yreka, CA the first night. It was rainy to begin with but soon dried out.

A glimpse of Mt. Shasta in Northern CA

Fall color still visible
I've never seen Lake Shasta this low before - quite a disappointment when I was looking forward to seeing this beautiful, enormous lake.

We wondered if this was a purposely set field fire in north central CA.
We passed quite a few fire trucks headed home from putting out the huge CA fires.

'Nuff said. . . . . I know after a very long absence, you all were waiting for scenery pics, right?!?

Lake Shasta being that low - reminds me of Lake Mead in NV that we saw a few wks back. It's crazy how low these lakes have gotten!
Looks like a fun trip :)
