Time Together

Last Monday night, we went over to Keith's brother's home for a potluck and to get the opportunity to spend a bit more time with Fred (other brother) & Jolene. We manage to see F&J about every other month since they're on the road so much. Never a dull moment when we're together!

I know you can't see their faces well, but these two little twin girls are so cute! They'll be a year old soon (maybe it's this week). I'm sure they keep their mom (in orange) quite busy! She also has two older children. They're the sweetest kids.
Uncle Freddy showing Jordan what he can do.
Jordan playing a bit on his cousin Kayla's guitar she inherited from her grandfather.
Greetings from Washington! Two nieces and the Windish family, minus Ryan. The Windish's took a road trip this summer and made their way to about 11 different states, one of them being Arizona. They met my Aunt and Uncle in Flagstaff on their way to the Grand Canyon. We were anxious to hear all about their trip and see pictures! Niece Jenny has often babysat their kids.

Who Can Resist

Not me, for one! I mean, look at the blonde hair, those blue eyes, the four little teeth in an adorable smile, the squishable body. . . . Oh yes, I love a baby like that! And baby Jack had quite an audience of women going ga-ga over him. It was the first time for me to meet him. He and his family were in town from Alaska for his great-grandma's funeral. Sad circumstances, but we're soooo glad we got to see Marla and Jack - thank you, Tom!

Who knew a strainer could be so fascinating?? It was so hot, a cool bath was necessary.
Mama knows how to make it all better. Think all the women's attention made him a little skittish. Poor little guy! Of course, the heat we had that weekend didn't help moods one bit.
Definitely BFF's - these two. I love these girls! Kat and Marla were the first two I met here in WA who were close to my age, and they made me feel so welcome immediately! Great memories. I don't see them as much as I'd like to. One's in AK and the other in OR.
Keith and I had two days with no kids, thanks to grandparents and aunts/uncles. So nice! Good to get situated again though before school starts next Tuesday. Enjoy your three day weekend!
xoxo,
Anita

Lattin's Country Cider Mill

Keith was working a week ago last Saturday so the kids and I decided to drive to Lattin's. We always have to make a couple of treks there every year - usually in the fall for the pumpkin patch. Jordan wouldn't be so excited if it weren't for the scrumptious, hot apple fritters they make on the premises every Saturday. They also make their own apple cider - strawberry, blackberry, raspberry and plain apple. They have in-season fruits, homemade pies, jams, and many other things you can buy in their little store.
The grounds are so pretty.
Nope, the deer isn't real. We've seen real ones around before, though.
Jaeden and Brooklyn love going to see all the animals they have.
There's usually little fuzzy chicks.

Melt in your mouth yumminess - Mmmmmmmm. . .
Kids feeding kids - J & B didn't want to believe me that baby goats are called that!
We're already seeing leaves dropping and trees changing colors up here.

Isn't it a bit early for fall?

One week left before school starts for us!

I'm noticing that I don't take enough pics of Jordan lately and it's not on purpose - I'll have to remedy that for sure!

Swim Lessons

Jaeden and Brooklyn wrapped up eight weeks of swim lessons. At the end of every two-week session, all the kids do a safety review and then they get to go down the water slide a few times. It's definitely something they look forward to!
This last session, they also moved on from having to jump into the pool with life vests on to jumping into the pool like a lifeguard, keeping their head above water.
Only two and a half more weeks till school starts for us - whoohoooo! Sorry, am I not supposed to be that excited about it??

A Wedding

Last Saturday, we attended the wedding of a darling couple we know. It was a lovely day for it! When we left our house, it was pouring rain - uh oh! But when we arrived just a few miles away, the rain had stopped. It was such a beautiful wedding - perfect weather, pretty decorations, beautiful bride, beaming groom. . . . all the right ingredients! I always have such a hard time narrowing down pics. So bear with me, please.

There were gorgeous flowers everywhere.

The colors were black, white, and a light blue. Isn't this dessert/candy table cute?

Love all the paper globes dancing in the breeze! This tent was for the dinner served afterward. The vases of flowers had to be set on the ground so the wind wouldn't blow them over.
The bride's father - always smiling, he is! A happy fellow.
Waiting for the rest of the wedding party. Wasn't it a beautiful setting? Note the clouds that kept at bay.
The happy couple.
This little ring bearer was too cute! There was an anxious moment when a ring went missing. It was found in his shirt pocket. Our view zoomed 12x closer.
I'm all about the details!
Even babies matched. Isn't she adorable?
More gorgeous flowers.
Details of the dress

Speech time
The bride's three sisters. Note the groom playing with his ring - haven't we all done that as newlyweds? It feels so foreign and takes a while to get used to.
The bride loves and adores her husband so much, as this picture shows.
They'll soon be moving to MN where the groom will be going to medical school.

Beautiful smiles.
The gorgeous (reported to be 14) cakes made by the family.
More details. There were two of these floral "B"s side by side over the drink table.
Their monogram - sorry, didn't get the two "B"s on either side of the M.

Our summer is just zipping by! How about yours?
