MLK Jr Day

The kids didn't have school on Monday (of course), so I decided to get out of the house and take them up to the Tacoma waterfront. We went to Ruston Way and went for a nice brisk (brrr...) and foggy walk.

My sailboat left without me...
Jordan has decided cars and trucks are for the unadventurous. He's saving his pennies for this boat!
An old fire boat
A bird encounter - far off.
Um, yeah...about that picture with all kids cooperating - not happenin'. Jordan and Boo were actually doing their best to help out, but not the Mr. in front. Things happen in threes? Having kids maybe, but not getting them to do the same thing all at once.

Looking across Commencement Bay towards Browns Point - no that's not smog, just fog.

Hope you enjoyed your day off - if you had one! We have another one this coming Monday. 'Semester Break' they call it. I really don't recall all these days off when we were kids. Or am I just getting old?

all of our breaks came in the form of 'free days' at school. remember all those?

We had free days even when we were in school! Everyday seemed like a free day! I must say we all got such a great education!!!

Yep, it was nice having the day off w/ the boys too and being a gov't employee helps in getting those days off!

Looks like you had a great time w/ the kiddies!

Tell Jordan he had better stick with the car, rather than a boat. Can't come see me in a boat! We're just a little to far inland. Love Ya! Aunt Peggy
